Meet The Orangutans…
It’s about time you meet some of our endangered friends who inspire us and who benefit from some of our proceeds. You’ll notice many of our products are named after these beautiful orangutans.
MIAS
At first glance, with coppery red hair and weighing in at 300 lbs, Mias might not strike you as being Canadian, but he is. Born on July 10th, 1983 at the Toronto Zoo in Canada, he lived with his mother and father until a transfer brought him to the Calgary Zoo in 1989. In 1997, this sweet, gentle giant moved to Colorado to take up residence at Denver Zoo.
Although shy, Mias loves to impress everyone with his many trained behaviors. He understands many English words. This was illustrated by the time he was told "This is the last bite". He then took the spoon away. He currently resides with a beautiful redheaded female named Nias. If you're wondering why they have such similar names, it is the translation of "orangutan" in Indonesian languages.
Mias is featured on our Cranberry Mandarin scented All Natural Body Care Products.
