1. Do you have any fragrance-free products?
All skincare products smell bad in the lab, because they are loaded with chemicals and raw ingredients. With this, manufacturers do scent them. They are not scented to make them smell good, but just scented to make them NOT smell bad. Chandler Farm chooses natural essential oils. We recommend our Natural Lavender to people who prefer a low fragrance profile to their products.
2. Do you use filtered water in your products?
The water used in our products goes through a softener, purification, UV and filtration process. It is tested daily, and a sample is sent out weekly to confirm that the process is working.
3. Why don't you sell your products on your website?
Chandler Farm believes in the success of our customers. We have some online customers that we link you to in our Shop section of the website. Chandler Farm will not compete with its retailers.
4. Why does Chandler Farm support The Phelps Great Ape Foundation?
The Phelps Great Ape Foundation (PGAF) is committed to the long term survival of the Orangutan in the wild. The PGAF dedicates 100% of their donations to projects focused around education of the Orangutan crisis, and placement of displaced Orangutans. Chandler Farm is passionate about their mission.
5. Why is organic bodycare so important?
Your skin is your largest organ. Often we are so concerned with what we are putting in our bodies, that we don't think about what we are putting on our bodies. Just as fatty and processed foods have negative impacts on our internal organs, harsh ingredient-filled bodycare products have negative impacts on our skin.
6. What is the deal with palm oil?
Palm Oil is found in Food, Bio-Fuel, and Bodycare Products. Palm oil is harvested in Indonesia. The clearcutting of these Indonesian rainforests displaces all living things within the ecosystem. Harvesting of Palm Oil is also followed up by the burning of the remnants left after the clear cut. This burning releases more carbon dioxide into the atmosphere than fossil fuels.
7. Chandler Farm Body Wash seems to be at a different viscosity than other body wash products. Why is this?
Chandler Farm is incredibly proud of our Body Wash product. It is maybe the most unique product in the bodycare industry. Generally when developing a product that meets National Premium Bodycare Standards, ingredients are replaced with palm oil. Our chemists worked very hard on developing a product that meets these standards without the replacement of palm oil. The result is a luxurious, fun to use body wash. Use our Body Wash in the shower daily for a unique and exciting experience.
8. Chandler Farm Body Butter is so much thicker than the Body Lotion. Why is this?
Our Body Wash is ultra concentrated with high quality natural ingredients. It is perfect for everyday use in small dollops on dry skin. We suggest it for feet, elbows, hands, and extra dry spots. A little goes a long way!
9. What is the best way to use the Body Lotion?
Our Body Lotion is our best selling product. We packaged it with a pump because it is perfect for all over use. Use it daily to keep your skin soft, smooth, and delicately scented.
